Position: Procurement Manager

PURPOSE:
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of procurement needs from both an enterprise overview as well as from a trades industry perspective, through both a construction and support services lens, including cooling, electrical, Fire Protection, and HVAC/mechanical requirements and fleet management.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

Procurement Strategy:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices.

Supplier Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Review and recommend approval of contractual terms for all current and new suppliers through to Organizations Legal.

Cost Management:

• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure the best terms and conditions.
• Monitor and manage procurement budgets to achieve cost savings and efficiencies.

QUALIFICATION:

• Tertiary qualification and supply chain management, Business administration, or a related field.
• Current unrestricted Fiji Driver’s Licence.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Minimum of 7+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in the trades industry (e.g., mechanical, plumbing, electrical).
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Solid understanding of supply chain management principles.
• Experience managing fleet operations is highly desirable
