Position: Electrical Project Manager

PURPOSE:
The Project Managers role is hands on managing Electrical Protection projects within the Suva, Nadi and Northern region. The main purpose of this role is to ensure all electrical projects under your management are progressed to satisfactory completion within guidelines and constraints of contract specifications, industry standards, quality, and budget.
To achieve this, the Project Manager will need to understand the client or main contractor requirements in conjunction with the Aquaheat (ASPL) methodology of pricing a project at time of tender. The goal is to ensure all projects are planned, executed, and delivered in accordance with the agreed methodology, project timelines and within budget.
The role of the Project Manager will also act as mentor to other site staff present on the project, sharing their knowledge and experience to benefit the skill base and overall delivered result. The role will lead by example creating a role model for other Project Managers.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
- Overall responsibility and control of the day-to-day running of specific contracts / projects.
- Develop project plans and undertake activity that effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Act as the first contact with the client or main contractor.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Demonstrate personal responsibility for safety by ensuring you, all staff and contractors comply with the Health & Safety at Work Undertaking health and safety training.
- Reporting all health and safety hazards and incidents including near misses in a timely manner.
- Conducting safety audits.
QUALIFICATION:
- Relevant professional or technical tertiary qualifications.
- Current unrestricted Fiji Driver’s Licence.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent understanding of Electrical services design and construction.
- Proven experience in managing a Electrical Services Installation Team with a passion for delivering high quality customer satisfaction at all times.
- Experience of managing both self-delivery site staff and subcontractors
