We are looking for experienced and qualified project manager to join our growing team in Western and Central region. The Project Managers role is hands on managing HVAC Mechanical and Electrical projects within Aquaheat South Pacific Limited (ASPL).

The main purpose of this role is to ensure projects are progressed to satisfactory completion within guidelines and constraints of contract specifications, industry standards, quality, and budget. To achieve this, the Project Manager will need to understand the client or main contractor requirements in conjunction with the ASPL methodology of pricing this project at time of tender.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Develops and maintains collaborative and productive relationships with the client or head contractor.
• Ensures client or head contractor issues are managed effectively achieving positive outcomes for both the client and/ or head contractor and ASPL.
• Manage direct report relationships to ensure that the Site Managers, Site Supervisors, Foreman, Leading Hands and site staff operate as a cohesive team.
• Develop project plans and undertake activity that effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Liaise with Engineering Team for Technical Submissions, Shop drawings, O&M Manuals
• Financial and budgetary control of projects, including interim payment claims and variation
• Ensure all project/ contract specific quality records are maintained in accordance with operating procedures.
• Provide leadership to ensure ASPL quality and H&S requirements and policies are implemented and maintained.

Skills and experience

• Relevant construction industry experience with at least 5 years of experience and proven track record in project management roles in HVAC Mechanical or Electrical Trade

• Current Drivers Licence
• Experience in word/excel essential, Microsoft project favourable.
• Client exposure in a contracting environment.
